Feature Guide
Zoom & move
· Scroll = zoom at cursor · Ctrl+scroll = SUPER zoom (3× faster)
· + / − buttons = big zoom steps · Fit = whole sheet
· Right-drag or middle-drag = pan anytime, even mid-measurement
· Space-hold + drag = pan · Arrow keys = nudge view
Loupe (magnifier)
· Floats by the cursor while measuring — M toggles it
· I = loupe zoom IN · O = loupe zoom OUT ( ] and [ also work) — up to 100×
· Arrow keys (or WASD) nudge the click point one pixel at a time when the mouse/trackpad is too coarse — hold Shift for a 10-px jump · F = place the point without touching the mouse
· Precision recipe: hover near the corner → ] to 20–40× → arrows onto the exact spot → F (or click)
· Chunky pixels at high power are normal — positions stay true, clicks stay accurate
Magnet & snap
· Magnet locks clicks onto plan corners/jogs (blue ring + CORNER) and onto straight wall/footing lines (teal ring + LINE) — sub-pixel accurate
· Snap to my points grabs your own vertices (green ring) — closes polygons exactly
· The little tab by the Magnet toggle shows its live suggestion: corner, line, or idle
· Reach slider (under Magnet) sets how far it grabs — turn it down if it skips past to a farther corner; up to make it grabbier
· Hold Alt to bypass the magnet for one raw click in crowded spots
· All are toggles in Tracing Options; magnet off = raw clicks
Ranging crosshairs
· Tick Ranging crosshairs to extend the orange cross edge-to-edge across the sheet
· The guides ride on the locked point, so you can line a new point up with columns, grid lines or other footings anywhere on the plan
Straight runs (ortho) — best for interior footings
· Hold Shift while placing points to lock each leg to horizontal / vertical / 45° — a blue ⟂ tag shows the axis
· Or tick Straight runs in Tracing Options to keep it on; then Shift momentarily releases it
· Recipe for a footing run: click the start → hold Shift → click along the footing; the leg stays dead straight and only the length changes
Tools (keys)
· D Distance — multi-leg runs, Enter/dbl-click ends
· A Area — click corners, close on first point
· G Angle — leg point → corner → leg point
· C Count — numbered dots, Enter ends group
· Esc cancels · Undo Pt backs up one click
Calibrate
· Click both ends of a printed dimension, enter it as feet + inches + fraction (to 1/32")
· Per page — recalibrate on detail sheets
· Use the longest dimension on the sheet for best accuracy
Assemblies & Roll-Up
· Build an assembly for every concrete size — e.g. a 24"×12" perimeter footing and a 16"×8" interior footing. + Add makes more; each has its own dims
· ⧉ Duplicate clones an assembly's size — fast when many footings/walls/slabs share the same dims; just rename the copy
· Quantity ×N: for identical repeats (e.g. five 5'×5' pad footings), trace one and set its × box in the list — roll-up multiplies it. The list value shows the total
· Pad Footing = a spread/pad footing: trace the footprint with Area, set the depth; CY = SF × depth (unlike a linear Footing traced with Distance)
· Pick the assembly in New trace → before tracing (or reassign any measurement later with the dropdown in its list row)
· Walls/footings/thickened edges = trace with Distance (LF); slabs/excavation = Area (SF)
· Σ Roll-Up = each assembly × its dims → CY, subtotaled by category, grand concrete total + order qty
· Monolithic slab = a Slab assembly (area) + a Thickened Edge assembly (distance along the turn-downs)
Plans (save several jobs)
· The dropdown top-left switches between saved plans · + New starts another job · ✎ renames · 🗑 deletes
· Each plan keeps its own PDF, calibration, measurements and assemblies — saved automatically and restored on reopen
· Open loads a PDF/image into the current plan · ▤ Pages shows page thumbnails — hover one for a big preview, click to jump
· ⭳ Job saves the whole job (plan + measurements + assemblies) to a file · ⭱ Load opens one on another computer
Units & scale
· Units (Scale panel): Architect shows 24'-9"; Engineer shows decimal feet 24.75' (tenths/hundredths) — calibration accepts decimal feet in Engineer mode
· Preset sets scale from the drawing scale (¼"=1'-0", 1"=20', …) without calibrating — for true-size vector PDFs; verify against a known dimension
· Layers: the per-page subtotals under the measurement list are tap-to-hide by category
Which pages roll up
· The roll-up opens with all measured pages included · the page chips at the top (p3, p7…) show every page that has measurements, with a count — tap one to include/exclude it
· All / None / This page set the scope fast · a red banner warns whenever a measured page is excluded, so nothing is dropped by accident (the CSV/Sheets export matches the same pages)
· Each assembly line has a ▸ badge — expand it to see which measurements (and pages) feed that number; click one to jump to it
· Green ✓ badges on the ▤ Pages thumbnails show which sheets you've already measured
Export to Google Sheets / Excel
· In Σ Roll-Up: 📋 Copy for Google Sheets copies the whole takeoff (measurements + concrete CY + rebar) — open a Sheet and press Ctrl+V
· Download CSV saves the same for Excel
Housekeeping
· H / Hide Marks clears finished measurements off the sheet
· Double-click a list item to rename · × deletes
· + on a list item = add onto that measurement: trace another region/run/dots and it sums into the same line (no new line item). Keep tracing to add more · Esc (or click the ● ) to finish · Undo Pt backs out the current shape before you close it
· Work saves automatically per plan — but Export before big changes is still smart insurance

PDF or image. Calibrate with a printed dimension — enter it as feet + inches + fraction. Then trace. Ctrl+scroll is super zoom, Shift+scroll cranks the loupe power up to 12×, and the Magnet pulls your clicks onto plan corners automatically. Σ Roll-Up turns walls, footings, slabs and thickened edges into yardage.
